These next two posts are about him :) This is the t-shirt quilt I gave him for his birthday. Since I couldn't find more than 4 shirts, we took a pair of his jeans, the collared shirt he wore when he proposed, and an old flight instructor shirt and made strips (as you can see). The miracle was that I collected his shirts, went home to Georgia to have my mom help me sew it (that was the hardest part), and hid this from Brant a month and a half before his birthday- without him knowing. Of course, I had to find him new tshirts to wear in the meantime so he didn't notice that his old shirts were missing.

Wow! There is a lot of work in that quilt. I'll bet it is super cozy too...love how you even included the epaulets off his work shirt. Nice job!
Love,

Epaulets! That's what they're called! (I couldn't remember for the life of me...)
Yea- I'm glad you found my blog! How fun to read about what's going on with your life. This is crazy- but your husband looks SO familiar to me...I wonder if he was in my freshman ward or something. How did you two meet? So glad to see you are doing well!
We had to use every last square inch we could find to get enough to make it work! I think even the collars may be in there somewhere. . .Kristen, where'd you hide it?
Rachel- Brant lived in Budge Hall his freshman year at BYU. Maybe that's where?
Mom- I put the quilt in a garbage bag and stuffed it in my white bag that I use as a carry on and then put it under the bed.
I love the blanket! Wow, you did a super nice job! Tell brant he's doing a great job growing plants!
